Company: Mayahold Group
Location: Kalopul
Department: IT & Operations
Reporting to: Group Product & Technology Lead / Designated IT Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Office Time: 7 am to 4 pm
1. About the Role
Mayahold Group is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented IT Officer to support the installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of CCTV surveillance systems, servers, and monitoring infrastructure across its businesses, including Maya Health Group.
The role will primarily focus on preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), coordinating with CCTV and IT vendors, overseeing installation and commissioning, setting up centralized monitoring, and assisting the monitoring team in day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at physical sites, coordinating technicians and vendors, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and ensuring that installed systems function reliably.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. CCTV Survey & BOQ Preparation
- Conduct site visits to assess CCTV and surveillance requirements.
- Prepare CCTV and IT infrastructure BOQs based on site layouts, operational requirements, and approved specifications.
- Identify camera locations, coverage requirements, mounting points, cable routes, network connectivity, and power requirements.
- Recommend suitable camera types, recording capacity, storage, switches, racks, cabling, UPS, and related accessories in consultation with the technical lead.
- Prepare equipment specifications, quantities, installation requirements, and cost estimates.
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations and highlight technical or commercial differences.
- Maintain updated site layouts, camera schedules, equipment lists, and BOQ revisions.
B. CCTV & Server Installation Coordination
- Coordinate with CCTV vendors, system integrators, electricians, network technicians, and server suppliers.
- Schedule site installation activities and ensure work is completed according to approved BOQs and specifications.
- Supervise installation progress, cable routing, camera positioning, equipment mounting, network connectivity, and rack organization.
- Coordinate server, Network Video Recorder (NVR), storage, networking, and UPS installation as applicable.
- Verify camera connectivity, image quality, recording, playback, time synchronization, and remote access.
- Assist with system configuration, commissioning, testing, and handover.
- Document installation issues, pending work, deviations from approved specifications, and corrective actions.
- Maintain an inventory of installed equipment, serial numbers, warranties, software licenses, and vendor contacts.
C. Monitoring Room & Hawk-Eye Setup
- Assist in setting up centralized CCTV monitoring facilities, including monitors, workstations, network connectivity, and required software.
- Configure or coordinate the configuration of authorized camera feeds, viewing layouts, recording access, and user permissions.
- Assist with integrating compatible CCTV/NVR systems into the approved video management platform.
- Support the setup of monitoring dashboards and basic alert or incident workflows under the direction of the technology lead.
- Test remote camera access and connectivity between sites and the central monitoring location.
- Help establish standard operating procedures for monitoring, incident logging, escalation, and system troubleshooting.
- Maintain a documented list of camera feeds, site connections, recording status, and system availability.
D. Day-to-Day Monitoring Assistance
- Assist the designated surveillance team with routine monitoring and verification of camera feeds.
- Check camera health, recording status, network connectivity, storage alerts, and system availability.
- Identify offline cameras, poor image quality, recording failures, and other technical issues.
- Log incidents, technical faults, maintenance requests, and corrective actions.
- Escalate security incidents and critical technical failures to the designated supervisor according to established procedures.
- Coordinate with site teams and vendors to resolve faults and restore service.
- Support periodic checks of camera coverage, blind spots, recording retention, and monitoring-system performance.
- Assist in preparing daily or weekly reports on system health, incidents, downtime, and pending maintenance.
This position supports monitoring operations; it is not automatically a dedicated 24/7 surveillance operator role. Shift coverage and after-hours responsibilities will be defined separately according to business requirements.
E. IT Support & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Assist with basic network, router, switch, workstation, server, storage, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain records of IP addresses, network diagrams, device configurations, equipment locations, and authorized access.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and firmware or software updates with the designated technical lead and vendors.
- Assist with server health checks, storage-capacity monitoring, backup verification where applicable, and UPS checks.
- Follow approved procedures for account access, passwords, remote access, and system changes.
- Maintain documentation of faults, resolutions, warranties, support contracts, and maintenance schedules.
- Support other IT infrastructure tasks relevant to the Group’s operational requirements.
F. Documentation, Cost Control & Reporting
- Maintain accurate BOQs, purchase records, installation checklists, commissioning reports, and asset registers.
- Track vendor commitments, installation schedules, costs, pending work, and warranty status.
- Report deviations between approved BOQs, quotations, purchase orders, and actual installations.
- Prepare site-readiness and project-progress updates for the reporting manager.
- Ensure that equipment procurement and installation follow approved technical specifications and budget limits.
- Maintain an updated record of CCTV and server infrastructure across all assigned sites.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Networking, or a related field.
- Approximately 1–4 years of relevant experience in IT support, CCTV installation, networking, server infrastructure, or system integration.
- Practical understanding of CCTV cameras, NVRs, IP cameras, PoE switches, structured cabling, and basic network concepts.
- Ability to prepare equipment lists, technical specifications, BOQs, and installation documentation.
- Familiarity with IP addressing, routers, switches, LAN/WAN connectivity, and basic troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based systems and basic server or storage concepts.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for BOQs, cost comparisons, asset registers, and reporting.
- Strong coordination, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to sites and coordinate with vendors and technicians.
4. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with centralized CCTV monitoring or multi-site surveillance deployments.
- Familiarity with VMS platforms, remote monitoring, camera-health tools, and NVR/server configuration.
- Exposure to brands and platforms such as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Milestone, or Nx Witness; specific vendor experience is an advantage, not a requirement.
- Basic knowledge of server racks, storage sizing, RAID concepts, UPS systems, and network security.
- Relevant vendor certifications or training in CCTV, networking, or IT infrastructure.
- Experience working in hospitals, hotels, commercial buildings, or other multi-site environments.
5. Key Performance Indicators
Performance will be measured against agreed site requirements, project timelines, and operational baselines.
- Accuracy and completeness of BOQs and technical specifications.
- Timely completion of site surveys and installation coordination.
- Percentage of installations commissioned and handed over with completed documentation.
- Camera connectivity, recording availability, and system-health performance.
- Time taken to identify, log, escalate, and coordinate resolution of technical faults.
- Accuracy of equipment inventory, warranty records, and infrastructure documentation.
- Compliance with approved budgets and specifications.
- Completion of scheduled preventive maintenance and routine health checks.
- Adherence to authorized access, privacy, and information-security procedures.
6. Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate is:
- Hands-on and comfortable working at physical sites.
- Organized, systematic, and careful with technical documentation.
- Proactive in identifying installation and operational issues.
- Comfortable coordinating vendors, technicians, and internal teams.
- Cost-conscious and able to compare technical options objectively.
- Reliable in following checklists, procedures, and escalation protocols.
- Willing to learn new monitoring platforms and AI-enabled operational tools.
7. What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, the IT Officer should help Mayahold establish a reliable baseline of its CCTV and IT infrastructure, prepare accurate BOQs for priority sites, coordinate approved installations, support the setup of centralized monitoring, and implement consistent documentation and system-health checks.
Over time, the role will help ensure that the Group’s surveillance infrastructure is reliable, properly documented, cost-effective, and ready for integration with Hawk-Eye as the platform develops.
